"The misprint in This Week' messed things up a little," said Rick DelGiorno, president of Student Government Association. Although the Club Fest officially started at 12:00 p.m., clubs set up at 11:00 so any students who came then because of the misprint would find what they were looking for. The confusion didn't seem to hurt anything though, according to Hilary Zeiders, assistant station manager at WPSH. "There seemed to be more student participation than there was last spring," Zeiders said. Zeiders also said that many clubs "did a better job at selling themselves" this year. • Committee Secretary • Junior Senator at Large • Junior Senator Business Administration a CALL 948-6273 DK Call 948 - 6273 at Club Fest Stacey Simmers Capital Times Staff • Computer Facilities • Faculty Senate • Admissions • Library Of the 28 clubs present in the Gallery Lounge, only two were new. The Humanities Club, which is still in the formation stages, was one of those. "We never really got off the ground last year," said Deborah McCoy, a member of the Humanities Club. "We were an informal club last year." The other new club was the Water Environmental Association of Pennsylvania (WEAP). Bill Burrell, president of WEAP, said that his club consists primarily of environmental engineers but they would like to broaden their membership. "We'd like to see students from other majors get involved so they know what's going' on in the environment," Burrell said. Students didn't come to the Club Fest just to eat some free pizza, they wanted to know how to join clubs. "Without this, I would never know where to join any clubs," said Virginia Murphy, a junior psychology student.
