Dougherty Church and Wrisberg Hall, the dormitories at Capitol Campus, underwent the first stage of a $lOO,OOO facelift this summer, aimed at making the buildings quieter and more attractive. The dorms, which were built in 1958, currently house 274 students. Before the lockers were replaced with new walls, residents said noise and the lack of privacy were big problems. Sound travelled between the rooms through the metal lockers which acted as a conductor. The rooms also needed pain ting so officials replaced the old blue and green paint with a uniform white for all rooms. “The concept to improve residential facilities began several years ago,” said Assis tant Provost for Student Af fairs James South. Most of the ideas for the renovation, he said, came from students who lived in the resident housing facilities. The first priority on the list is more privacy for dorm students, South said. This pro ject began with the removal of metal lockers which were 'replaced with walls. The tiled floor was repaired where the lockers sat, according to Frank Williams, resident housing SMALL MEDIUM LARGE SICILIAN SALADS Regular 1.99 Chef 2.35 5.75 6.75 7.00 7.00 7.00 7.00 7.00 7.00 7.00 7.00 7.00 8.25 10.75 1.25 8.25 9.25 9.75 9.75 9.75 9.75 9.75 9.75 9.75 9.75 9.75 10.75 13.50 1.50 litol Times Frida' look for CC dorms director said.
