Page 6 CLEP Test, October 21 Penn State-Capitol Campus announces the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) test will be administered on Saturday, October 21 at 8:30 a.m. The CLEP test is designed to assist persons in obtaining college credit for learning at tained outside the classroom structure. It is divided into two parts: the general battery of tests and the specific subject exams. The general battery of tests covers five areas: English composition, humanities, nat ural sciences, mathematics, and social science and history. the specific subject exams are de signed to measure knowledge gained in previous college courses. This month CLEP will in clude a version of the new English composition test which will include a 45-minute essay section and a 45-minute mul tiple choice section. The other version is a 90-minute multiple choice exam which will be of fered at all of the administra C.C. Reader tions during the year. Deadline for application for the general battery of tests is Wednesday, October 18; dead line for the specific subject exams is the last Friday of the month previous to the exam. For further information, contact the Admissions Office, or phone 787-7734. The CLEP test is admin istered the third Saturday of each month. The next testing date will be Saturday, Novem ber 18. Soccer Scores The Capitol Campus Soccer team won their second soccer game of the year 4 to 1 Thurs day, September 28, against Schuykill Campus of Penn State. Capitol scored three times in the first period and once in the second. Larry Venetsky, Lynn Boyer, Emmanuel Orsark and Bob Heitzman each scored one goal for Capitol. Schuykill's only goal came in the first period. On Saturday, September 30, Capitol and Lincoln University played to a 1-1 tie, both teams scoring in the first period. Emmanuel Orsark scored Cap itol's only goal on a penalty shot. Capitol was defeated for the October 12, 1978 first time on its home ground on Tuesday, October 2, when Ogontz Campus of Penn State out scored Capitol 6 to 1. Capitol's only goal was scored by Larry Venetsky during the first period. Hazelton Campus handed Capitol its second loss of the season Thursday, October 5 when it beat Capitol 3 to 2 in a game played at Hazelton. Capi tol scored once in the first period and once in the second. In a game played at Lancas ter Bible College, Saturday October 7, Capitol lost 5 to 0. Lancaster Bible scored two times in the first period and three times in the second. Cap itol's record now stands at 2 wins, three losses, and 1 tie.
