Page 4 Rec IM Bowling: There are two weeks of bowling left, with 5 teams battling for 4 playoff spots. Grand Wazoo (30-2) has a playoff spot clinched, while the Turkeys (24-8), Kegglers (18-14), X.G.I. #1 (18-14), and X.G.I. #2 (19-13), fighting for the remaining 3 spots. All others are eliminated, but may play the role as a spoiler. Pat Laurie took over the lead for high series with a 476. Rec/Ath Building: The Fall Term 1976 is drawing swiftly to a close with just a few weeks left before term break begins! We would like to again remind every one that over the Thanksgiving Day break and during the term break the Rec/Ath Building will close promptly at 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, and will be closed weekends. The base gym will be closed during both break periods. To those who graduate this Fall Term we wish much success and good luck. Our very special “thanks” goes to Tom Plank who will graduate this term. Tom has been a member of the Soccer Team his two years on campus, has participated in intramurals, and has been a very reliable and efficient employee in Rec/Ath. So, Tom, good luck and the best of everything. Soccer and Cross Country have ended their schedule for this season. Although the records may not show, never theless, these teams have had a very good season. Running Around: Capitol Campus was well represented at the 3rd Annual Marine Corps 5 mile race on Nov. 14, with Bob Rhinier finishing 14 overall with a sub 29 minute run, and Steve Staugh finishing 19 with a sub 28 minute run. Both Bob and Steve are members of Capitol’s Cross Country team. Bud Smitley finished 2nd in the Master Division with a time of 31:44, while Dr. Robert Brown completed the Senior division with a 35:40. There will be a gospel concert on Wednesday, December 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. It will feature the “Echoes of Praise”, a local gospel group which consists of high school and college stu dents. The concert is sponsored by the Maranatha Bible Club.
