The 40-member group will be sing ing songs from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and the Romatic Era, performing folk songs from England and a couple of Sea Chanteys. The choir has worked very hard at preparing a setting of the Mass for the concert originally composed by Wolfgang Amedeus Mozart. The instrumental music will be played by an orchestra of two trumpets, tympany, cello, piano, bass, and six violins. Four of the choir members, Leslie Webb (soprano), Kathy Urbaniak (alto), Michael Miller (tenor) and Joe Haller (bass), will be the featured student soloists for the setting of the Mass. Next- fall the Concert Choir will probably be heading down to Charleston, South Carolina for their annual tour, said Mr. Stuntz, Collegian PAGE 9 , - Cartney. Those that attended the service described it as "a pleasant, relaxing and enlightening time." Steve Johnson, president of the Behrend College Christian Associa tion, said, "The music was really goodS" and Ray Sines, a student at Behrend and pastor of a local: church agreed that the performers:;, did a great job. Director of Music at Behrend. Hopefully, the choir will also be going to western New York in the i Spring, after an invitation to par ticipate in a festive performance of Elijah. The choir will be performing Sunday, May 3, in the Reed Lec ture Hall at 8 p.m. There will only be one performance, so seating is limited. The concert will last about an hour, and there is a reception to follow. Everyone is invited to attend.
