John Scifo was selected by teammates as recipient of the Dennis Grace Most Improved Player Award. The award is nam ed after Grace, a Behrend alum- John Scifo nus who is head soccer coach at Notre Dame. "John was called upon at midseason to fill in for an injured player, and his playing just con tinued to improve," said Cub's Soccer Coach Herb Lauffer. "His mental and physical intensity enabled John to compete well on the collegiate level." Doug McCarthy was selected by teamates as the recipient of the John Hoge Outstanding Freshman Award. His ability to create plays was a real plus for the team." Joe Kushon received two post ceP con honors. He was named to the Western Pennsylvania Inter collegiate Soccer Conference All- Star Team and was awarded the Michael Marsh Most Valuable Player Award. Kushon led the Cubs with 10 goals including 2 game winners.. "Joe was our most dangerous of fensive player, and he drew a lot of attention from our op ponents," said coach Lauffer.
