October 24,1985 Page Four the campus club report by Heather Van Slyke Collegian Contributing Writer The Northwestern Penn sylvania chapter of DPMA (Data Processing Management Associa tion) held their seventh annual “Computer and Management Seminar-Exposition” today (Oct. 24) at the Erie Hilton. Representatives from over twenty area computer stores and firms were on hand to promote their products. A wide variety of GARFIELD® by Jim Davis computer hardware and software was on display and demonstra tions were given throughout the day. Workshops on Lotus, Fiber- Optics, and CAD-CAM were held, and several films were shown. After a noon luncheon, Martin V. Powers gave a lecture on “Computers in Business”. This annual show is the big event for our local DPMA chapter. The Adventure Club is having a pumpkin sale through the Oct. 26. Large and medium sized pumpkins will be on sale from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the upstairs lobby of the Reed Union Building, and will cost from $1.50 - $2.00 each. Behrend’s ROTC Colorguard marches this Saturday, Oct. 26 at Iro quois High School. Also on Saturday, the Adventure Club will be hold a familiarization firing of the MI6AI rifle for all interested cadets. The firing will take place at Gem City Gun Club, near Fairview. Club members are reminded to attend meetings of their clubs as regularly as possible. The meeting times for next weeks meetings are: Rangers-Tuesday Oct. 29 17:30 Scuba Club-Wed. Oct. 30 17:30 Rifle Club-Thurs. Oct. 31 17:00 ROTC cadets will also have the opportunity of visiting Aberdeen Prov ing Grounds in Aberdeen Maryland again this year. The tour offers an introduction to the Ordnance Branch of the Army, which is responsible for the research, development, and testing of the military’s munitions. This years trip will include running an obstacle course, touring the Ord nance Museum, and a visit to the officers club on Saturday night. The tour is scheduled for the first weekend in November. The questionairre will propose an Accounting Internship Program that will be available to all accounting majors. Need and probable use of the program will be determined by the information gathered from the questionairre which will be presented in business classes soon. There will be a night of bowling for all Accounting Club members on Tuesday Nov. 8 at Eastway Bowling Lanes at 11:00 p.m. The Bowling outing will be discussed at the next meeting.
