NOVEMBER 11, 1983 Dance Marathon Slated By Sarah TamMn OBK (Omicron Beta Kappa) will be sponsoring a dance marathon to benefit the American Heart Association November 11 and 12, in the Gorge Cafeteria. The dance, which is open to the entire Behrend community, begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, November 11, and ends 24 hours later, at 6:30 'p.m. Saturday, November 12. Participants are asked to ob tain sponsors who will donate to the American Heart Association. Canisters will also be displayed at the dance for those who wish to make a contribution in the name You Can Make A Difference by Michael Alm How? By becoming involved in groups which you believe in, and through them gaining information and knowledge in areas which concern you. And, an area which concerns us all is political issues, both nationally and world-wide. An organizational, meeting on November 15 is being held to establish a _group of politically aware students here at Behrend College. The purpose of the organization shall be to establish among students a greater awareness of political issues, both nationally and world-wide. And this can be achieved through knowledgeable speakers and open discussions on current events. This group hopes to be a service to the students by acting as a channel to outside facilities where students can gain additional infor mation and can take assertive ac tions in conjunction with their The two-year NROTC Scholarship Program offers you a two-year college scholarship that's worth as much as $20,000 in tuition. Music will be provided by Da mien Steele and Blue Plate Special and DJ's Mark Townsend and Ward Litzenberg. Duane Crider, physical education instructor, will be on hand to provide dance lessons.
