Duck s Deluxe By Charles Eschweiler _ _ No one really makes music for kids anymore, Alice Cooper used to but now he's on a sophistication trip, Lou Reed is no fun anymore beside that he's gonna be dead next week. Of course there's all the "tasteful" and "Adult" music coming from the soft rock crowd, but that's no more related to rock and roll than the new Bob Zim merman album. Relief is here for those of us whose idea of a good time is expensive scotch and cheap women; the Dictators album THE DICTATORS GO GIRL CRAZY is finally out. The Dic tators are a New York band put together by Murray Krugman and Sandy Perlman, the same two guys that gave us Blue Oyster Cult. There are similarities between both groups; all members of each group have noses, arms, and wear tight pants, but where the B. 0. Cult are influenced by Soporific delusions of punkoid fascism the Dictators just want to get laid, drive around in hot cars and play their guitars loud. Needless to say, if you're , looking for a sophisticated nlusical experience you won't find it here. These guys play rock and roll for the man on the street corner and that's the only way to play it. With everybody from John Lennon to Jerry Garcia committing aural atrocities in the name of R&R it is so nice to hear these greasy, ugly, old Dictators coming out and doing it hot, sleazy and right: Does anyone take this limp - wristed artistic poseur seriously anymore?
