They are also active in the adopt-a-highway organization. Along with their volunteer work. Delta Chi encourages Behrend students who attend events at their house to take advantage of their designated driver system. “We always make sure the people who come to our parties have a safe way home. We go to and from campus all night,” said Wilson. According to Mr. Mariani, residents of Wesleyville have never complained about the Delta Chi house, but some community members have been inconvenienced on minimal occasions. Robert Allen, a 20-year-old Edinboro student and nine-year resident of Wesleyville said the Delta Chi parties do get loud at times, but nothing that has ever required him or his parents to call the police. “They are a little loud and obnoxious sometimes, but it has only happened a few times. My dad went over one time and told them to quiet down and they listened right away. It happens, just peo ple having a good time, no real problems.” With their reputation in great condition, the brothers of Delta Chi are looking forward to anoth er year at Behrend and in their house. “Anyone who is a brother can live here. We have room for six or seven guys. We’re always looking for guys to join. Rush Delta Chi,” said Wilson.
