This is no exception for the average college student. Springtime means formals, in terviews, spring break and graduation. For all of these events, a certain professional, yet stylish and fun look is a student's best bet. While the right look is a must for these springtime events, so is the right amount of time and money to spend on these ne cessities. "The Rage has a great "close-knit" staff that is very friendly and invit ing," said Bth semester Com munication and Media Studies major and "Rage" patron, Andrea Rodriquez. The salon is open 9 am until 9pm, Monday through Friday and from 9am until 3pm on Saturdays. After 11 years of set ting style trends within the salon, Strobel said that it was time to modernize the overall image of the salon. "We're reinventing the image of the salon with new renovations and a new logo in addi tion to the new name of the salon," Strobel said. "She's younger, and more in-tune with the latest trends, and she has a great personality," Strobel continued. As for the working environ ment, Cavicchio couldn't be happier. "They work around my school ~ '. schedule, and encourage edu cation in and out of the salon," she said. "Our new color line is probably the best that I have worked with - they (hair color ings) are just better for the hair. Having been involved in cosmetology since I was 1 3, I haven't seen anything like it," Cavicchio said. Karl Benacci, Features Editor Cavicchio knows that a pro fessional, classy, yet stylish ap pearance will make all the dif ference during events that happen for college students in the spring. "The problem is that when we get out of school, we still look like we're in college. If you have a professional cut, style and color, it will really be an advantage to you. The first impression is the most important," she said. When it comes to a va riety of salon services, Rodriquez knows she won't let this spring se mester pass her by with out a trip to The Rage. "It offers everything from hairstyling, to get ting your nails done and all the latest styling products and waxing, and there is even more that I have not experi ence yet," she said.
