The Lady Lions finish their season at a mark of 19 -9, while Kings Col lege moves their record to 22 - 5. The Lady Monarchs of King's Col lege scored the game's first 10 points to jump out to a commanding lead, however the Lions rallied hack hard to eventually take the lead by a score of 28 - 25. "We played a very tough team who outplayed us in every aspect of the game," said junior Matt Plizga. The Lions conclude their season with an impressive record of 18 - 9. Although they did get bounced in the first round of ECAC playoffs, they didn't end the season without any big accomplishments, such as winning the first ever AMCC title. The veteran's strong play and leadership are key reasons for the baseball team's winning start this season. The Lions, in seven games so far, have posted a promising 5-2 mark. Burchanowski acts as a potent of fensive weapon for the Lions. Through seven games, he is batting an outstanding .400, going ten for twenty-five. He has four and has scored eight runs. Leading the Lions on offense was is a perfect three for three in stolen base attempts. He also leads the team with eight walks. A career .321 hitter, Burchanowski batted a whopping .371 in 1997. He led the team in RBl's knocking in twenty-four that season. In thirty eight games, he collected thirty-six hits, picking up multiple hits in eleven games. Burchanowski is a valuable defen sive asset as well.
