The Behrend Foreign Film Series continues with "The Silences of the Palace" on Monday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Reed Lecture Hall. Winner of six major international film awards, this 1994 Tunisian film is a visually lush and moving exploration of the challenges confronting North )(Mean women in the face of ''centuries-old traditions of sexual subordination. The film is in Arabic with English subtitles. Behrend has named Lloyd G. Volunteer tutors are needed for the Penn State Behrend/Diehl Elementary School Adopt-A-School Program from now until December 4. After school tutors are needed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:40 p.m. Transportation to and from Diehl is provided.
