Events In the first of the 1997-98 Penn- State Behrend Open House Nights in Astronomy series, Dr. Roger Knacke will present "Is There Life on Mars?" on Thursday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Reed Lecture Hall. His lecture will summarize the results of the recent Pathfinder mission to Mars. Dr. Knacke is a professor of Physics and the head of the Division of Science at Behrend. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Behrend will present a festival of Cuban folk music and dance on Monday, September . 29 at U P c 0 m i n g 7:00 p.m. in the Reed Commons. The event will include Cuban folk singer Lazaro Ross. and the Cucalambe Cuban Folk Dance Ensemble. In addition to folk music and dance. the presentation will include contemporary Latin dance music. ABC political correspondent, George Stephanopoulos will present "Politics: The Art of the Impossible" on Tuesday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Reed Commons. Stephanopoulos, a native of Cleveland, was deputy campaign manager and director of communications for the 1992 Clinton/Gore presidential campaign.
