On the condition of anonymity, acquaintances said Robbins had t history of mental problems and had once spent time in a hospital. Behrend Provost and Dean Dr. John Lilley said that his first reaction to the incident was that of a parent “I reacted to it first as a parent Just the thought that one of my children may have had to go through that” he said. He said that he worried that people may get the wrong idea about University Park and think that it is a dangerous place. However, Lilley said that people need to consider that the campus is safe and this is only the second incident in 150 years. “It is a human tragedy from beginning to end. It is a tragedy for her life as well as the student who died and the one sne [allegedly] injured,” he added. Regional Highway Safety Network needs some help - and students at Behrend may just be the people they’re looking for. The Highway Network is looking for Public Service Announcements about drinking and driving to air on The PSA’s will be reviewed by both the Highway Network and members of the Erie County Dili Advisory Council. One PSA will be selected for immediate release in December and January; it will be given First Place Recognition. A plaque will be given to the university’s communications department and the producers(s) of the PSA will receive recognition award(s). 3 <9 • They are seeking creative students to produce and submit a 30 second PSA for consideration.
