M.ss Elizabeth Detrich, sister cf ihe late H. H. Detrich, of thia pl.i.;, m aunt of Mrn. lioborl N. Fryman, nf Wf, died at hor homo m Wa.vnoRUa'o, as told by the following clipped from a Waynesboro paper : "She was stricken with paraly sis while walking in the yard at her premises about noon last Thursday, and never regained consciousness except to a partial extent Sunday morning. She had been in her usual sturdy health until visited by the paralytic stroke, and was looking forward with fondest anticipa tions to the completion of a new dwelling house. Miss Detrich was born 70 years ago, on the site of the residence in which shp died. She was the daughter of George Detrich and was the last member of her fam ily. Her brothers and sisters, who preceded her to the rave, were Matthias, David M. and Henry Detrich, and Misses Lou- iRa and Ella Detrich. Two sis ters-in-law, Mrs. Catherine 13. Detrich, south of town, and Mrs. Martha Detrich, near Leiters- burg, survive her, as do two niec es, Mrs. Alice bmitn, daughter of Mrs. Martha Detrich, and Mrs. Ella Fryman, McConnellsburg. Miss Detrich was an unassum- ng woman, but tun or good worns and kindly d wis for hor friends. She was a most helpful neighbor aud always ready to lend any aid that was within her power. Es pecially was sh9 quick to respond to the call of the sick and to min ister unto them. Her death will cause sincere mourning m many families. She was a member of Trinity Reformed church. Fui.eral services over the re mains of Miss Elizabeth Detrich were held at her late residence on Cleveland avenue at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Many friends of the deceased were present and a number of fioral emblems testi fied to the esteem in which the aged and kiudly woman was held. Rev. F. F. Hahuer, D. D., pas tor of Miss Detrich, conducted the services and delivered an ad dress. Dr. Banner officiated at the funerals of Miss Detrich 's moth er aud her sister, and with the obsequies of to day, buried the last of the family. The theme of his address was most appropri ate, it was, "A Home Trans planted from Earth to Heaven." Interment was made in Green Hill cemetery.
