Wiilard Ordway, a peer and hard work ing farmer, aged 55, lives en a farm owned by Albert Gate, of Bosten, near Londen. N. II. He has been three times married, the last time in November, 1882, te Mary E. Haines, only 18 years of age, the daughter of a neighboring farmer. Ord way has two sons, Charles, 12, and Jesse, 5 years old, living at home, and four ether children who live away from .home. Friday morning Ordway went te Con cord in bis sleigh, leaving his wife and the two boys at home. On his return home at evening he met the two boys walking te meet him six miles lrem home, and Charles told him that his mother was dcad,aud Jeste was very cold and was cry iug. He took the children into his sleigh and drove toward home as fast as he could. On his way he asked into his team his near near ebt neighbor, Samuel M. Cate.
