Student Services issues survey
Project to define programming needs
The Office of Student
Services is currently engaged
in a campus-wide assessment
project designed to obtain
student perceptions of the
programs and services offered
through the various
components of Student
Services and to learn more
about student interests and
needs.
Student Services is
interested in gathering this
information in order to
improve current services and to
design new programs that
Behrend students will value.
The survey has been sent to
approximately 470 Behrend
students who have been
randomly selected to
participate.
Student Services officials
believe that while many
students take advantage of the
services offered, there is an
undefined number of students
who either do not know of the

Since not all students use
services and facilities in the
same manner, the survey will
be helpful in identifying which
groups of students need or use
certain services, thereby
helping the staff to "target"

get back into engineering, the
branch of the Army into which
he was commissioned.

A random sample of 20
percent of all part-time and

The project was first
discussed last spring as a
method of better utilizing the
resources Student Services
possesses. A committee was
formed consisting of eight
Student Services staff members
and Ron Krahe, an Engineering

Faculty council Committee on
