eight students who patrol the
campus on foot, and are enpowerexl

The program is headed by
Randy Hoffman, Behrend's
manager of Police and Safety.
"They help assist

company while
patrolling on foot."

"They are our eyes and ears,"
explained Hoffman.
Some= of the duties of the
student auxiliary include locking
and unlocking - buildings, and
checking on night assistants, but
the SA was formed mainly

Group wants to help select new president
by Tony Olivito
Collegian Staff Writer
The Council of Common
wealth Student Government
(CCSG), of which Behrend is a
member, has been denied a
request to be represented on a
committee that will help
choose Penn State's next
president
The request was turned
down by the Board of Trustees
at University Park.
"The governing body of the
commonwealth deserves a seat
on the committee," said
Behrend's Student Government
Association President Stan
Washington.
The CCSG claims the
rejection increases feelings of
alienation among Penn States
commonwealth campuses, ac
cording to Washington.
