GOODS,
KENDALL'S SPAVIN CURE !
THE MOST SUCCESSFUL REMEDY EVER
discovered, as It Is certain In Its effects and does
not blister. Read Proof Below.
From Iter. K. T. Granger,
Presiding Elder of the St. Albans District.
St. Albans, Vt., Jan. 20th, 1880.
DR. J. B. KENDALL & CO., Gents: In reply
to your letter I will say that my experience with
Kendall's Mpavin Cure has been very satisfactory
Indeed. Three or four years ago I procured'a bot
tle of your agent, and with It, cured a horse of
lameness caused by Spavin. Last season my
horse became very lame and I turned him out for
a few weeks when he became better, but when I
put him on the road he grew worse, when I dis
covered that a ring-bone was forming. 1 procured
a bottle of Kendall's Soavlu Cure, and with less
than a bottle cured him so that he Is not lame,
neither can the bunch be round.
Respectfully yours,
P. N. GRANGER.
Perseverance Will Tell !
Stoughton, Mass., March lOni, 1880.
B.J. Kendall & Co., Gents: In justice to you
and myself. I think 1 ought to let you know that I
have removed TWO BONE SPAVINS with Ken
dall's Spavin Cure," one very large one: don't
know how long the Spavin had been there. I
have owned the horse eight months. It took me
four months to take the large one olf, and two
months for the small one. I have used 10 bottles.
The horse Is entirely well, not at all stilt, and no
bunch to be seen or felt. This Is a wonderful
medicine. It Is a new thing here, but If It does
for all what it has done for me its sale will be very
great. llespectlully yours,
CHAS. E.PARKER.
Is sure In effects, mild tn Its action as it does
not blister, and yrt Is penetrating and powerful to
reach any deep seated pain or to remove any
bony growth or any other enlargement, If U9ed
for several days, such as spavins, splluts, curbs,
callous. sprains, swellings, any lameness anil all
enlargements of the joints or limbs, or rheuma
tism in man and for any purpose for which a lin
iment for man or beast. It Is now known to be
the iest liniment for man ever used, acting mild
and jet certain In Its effects. It, is used full
strength with perfect safety at all seasons of the
year.
Send address for Illustrated Circular, which we
think gives positive proof of its virtues. No
remedy has ever met with such unqualitled suc
cess, to our knowledge, for beast as well as man.
Price $1. per bottle, or Six bottles for US. All Drug

OA. lady, whose family was very
much in the habit of proposing conun

husband, In an excited tone, "why are all
these doors left open V" ' I give it up,"
instantly answered the lady.
tSTCarlyle, being once asked the dif
ference between a natural fool and an
educated fool , replied, "Just about the
difference between you and me, I sus
pect." The questioner was never able to
determine what kind of a fool he was.
tS "I saw a big boy and a little fellow
quarreling over some marbles to-day,"
said John. "Did you 5"' asked his
father. "I hope you Interfered to stop
their quarreling." "Yes, yes," said
John, " I took the little fellow's part.

tW A finely-dressed lady slipped and
fell near the postofflce, yesterday, and
the gentleman who assisted her to her

madam?" No, I guess not," she replied,
"but I am just as mad as if I had broken

C3TAn old man, with a head as desti
tute of bair as a watermelon, entered an
Austin avenue drug store and told the
clerk he wanted a bottle of hair restorer.
" "What kind of hair restorer do you pre.
fer?" "I reckon I'll have to take a
bottle of red-restorer. That was the
color of my hair when I was a boy."
C?f Little Johnny was visiting at a
neighbor's bouse. He was offered a
piece of bread and butter, which he
accepted, but not with any great degree
of enthusiasm. " What do you say
Johnny?" said the Lady, expecting him
to say, "Thank you." "I say It ain't
cake," was the response.
I wish to ask the Court," said a
facetious barrister, who had been called
to testify as an expert, "if I am compell
ed to come into this case, in which I
have no personal Id teres t, and give a
legal opinion for nothing ?" " Yes, yes
certainly," replied the mild mannered
judge; "give it for what it is worth."
(yMr, Stuart once met a lady in Bos
ton, who said to him, " I have just seen
your likeness, Mr. Stuart, and kissed it
because it was so much like you." "And
did it kiss you in return ?" said he,
" No," replied the lady. " Then," said
the gallaut painter, "it was not like
me."
eTMiss It. had a nose which was per
ceptibly retrousse, and when she went
on a visit to Johnny's one day the boy
observed it. After taking in the situa
tion fully, he said : " Papa, you said for
me to wait till something would turn up
and I should have a velocipede. -There
is Miss It's, nose, now give me the veloc
ipede." What he got might have been
called a velocipede, because it went so
fast, but it looked more like a strap fly
ing through the air in the far corner of
the woodshed.
Straddling the Question.
The son of an old Jacksonian Dem
ocrat, living near the Maryland bor
der in Pennsylvania, having been un
successful in his suit for the affections
of a young lady, asked bis sire one day
after dinner for permission to marry.
The old gentleman lowered his spectacles
anl, glancing over them for a moment
or two, quietly asked :
" What is ber father? Is he a free
trader or a protectionist ?"
"I don't know what he is now," re
joined the prospective son-in-law, " but
when I first visited Mary he was both."
" Both! Nonsense !"
"Yes, both. He protected her every
time we tried to sneak off, and he was
the freest-trader with bis boots that X
ever came across."
