Lanc. Arts League sponsors exhibit—asks help of parents
by Donna Germer
The following information
was sent to Mr. Drenner by
Mrs. Linda Ross: A meeting
of the Regional Scholastic
Art Awards Committee was
held October 27.
The topic of discussion
was the possibility that

The Senior Class of
Donegal High School will
present ‘Arsenic and Oid
Lace,”’ a three-act comedy,
on Friday, November 21,
and Saturday, November 22,
at 8:00 p.m. in the high
school auditorium. Written
by Joseph Kesselring, the
play takes place in Brooklyn
during the early part of
World War II.
The story is of a family
might not be able to house
this year’s art exhibit. The
Fine Arts League of Lancas-
ter has taken over the
sponsorship of the show.
Many people enjoy seeing
this exhibit so we are asking
for their help. In order to
host the art show, we need
interested persons to sort
entries and to sit with them
during the exhibition times.
The League also needs
financial help. Because of
this, the League is encour-
aging parents of outstand-
ing art students to lend
financial support and/or a
little bit of their time to help
with the exhibit.

place in-the Brewster home,
which houses two old ladies,
Abby Brewster (Jane Youtz)
and Martha Brewster (Jean
Bixler), and their three
nephews. The old ladies
feel it is their duty to relieve
lonely old men of their
misery. Teddy Brewster
(Mike Kohler), the youngest
nephew, who thinks he is
Teddy Roosevelt, and Jona-
loff, are already following in
the family footsteps.
e third nephew, Morti-
mer Brewster (Ted Hershey)

recently come to live with
the family. Mortimer is
reluctant to marry his
girlfriend, Elaine Harper

ter of The Reverend Dr.

least 10 parent’s names who
would be available to help
with the show.
So many of the parents
have groups formed with
interest in athletic and
musical activities of their
children. We would strong-
ly like to see an art group of
the same kind formed.

Fast-moving ‘and hilar-
iously funny, ‘‘Arsenic and

all ages. The play is
