Joy Bicentennial sponsors flag contest by Cheryll Hallgren The Horizons Committee of the Mount Joy Bicenten- nial commission is sponsor- ing a flag contest. The contest is open to all residents of the Mount Joy area. The selected design will be reproduced on a flag which will be dedicated on May 23, 1976, in Memorial Park. Additional flags can be purchased during the week of May 22-29, 1976. The winner of the contest will receive $25.00 and the honor of dedicating the flag to the community. Entries will be judged after the deadline of Janu- ary 1, 1976. ; SPECIFICATIONS: 1. size--8%2"" by 11V42"". All entries must be submit- ted in an envelope or a folder. 2. color--ared design on a white background. $8. the name, MOUNT JOY, shall be included in the design. Also, the incor- poration date of 1851 must be included in the design. 4. On reverse side of the design write your name, address, and telephone number.
