Back from Canada, Judy off to Penn State Monday of last week, Judy Stolzfus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stolz- fus, Mount Joy, R.D. 1, returned home from Mani- toba, Canada, where she had been tutoring Indian children in a mission. Earlier this summer she attended a 4-H Leadership Conference at Penn State. Before last week was over, she was off again to Penn State, this time as a member of Lancaster Coun- ty’s 4-H Poultry Judgimg Team, which will compete there with other teams from across the state. This spring some of her water colors and drawings were selected to be exhibi- ted in Garvin's Store in Lancaster. : She won an honorable mention in Phillip’s Mount Joy Art Show. Last spring she ran the 220 on the Donegal High Track Team. She painted sets for Camelot and other shows at Donegal. She tutored children at Grandview Elementary school last year. She is a member of the Mount Joy 4-H photography club. The list of her various activities could go on and on, but those already cited give a general picture of Judy Stolzfus’ energy find- ing expression in many different talented outlets. Before she became inte- rested in raising capons on her father’s farm on the outskirts of Mount Joy, Judy was most active in the 4-H sewing, knitting, cooking, and cake decorating clubs. She took over poultry raising from her sister Linda who is now a medical secretary at Lancaster Gen- eral Hospital. Judy also has a younger sister, Loretta, in the eighth grade at Grand- view.
