May 21, 1975 Olympic Day at Donegal H.S. by Pam Horst Donegal High School O- lympic Day was held Suc- cessfully on its postpone- ment date, May 16. Activi- ties for the day included 31/2 hours of fun such as going through the obstacle course. Obstacle course spectators were always laughing, due to the way the students climbed, walked the mat covered balance beam, jumped a few obstac- les, ran through tires ‘anu crawled to the finish line. The time of running this course ranged from approx- imately 17.5 seconds to 1.50 minutes. Relay races, dashes, soft- ball and football throws, tug of war, softball games, tennis matches, and bicycle races occured outside. Volleyball games occupied the gym. The day proved to be a good one, despite the rainy weather. Ray N. Wiley elected director Ray N. Albert, 130 New Haven Street, Mount Joy, was one of fifteen students to be tapped into the Parmi Nous honorary at the Penn- sylvania State University, University Park. The honorary is the oldest ’hat’’ society on the campus and inducts students on the basis of service and grades. Scott is a senior in political science and is vice chancellor of the Beta Sigma Rho fraternity.
