Those participating in the program include: The Gib- son Girls, of the Mount Joy BPW Club, who will present a medley of “Roaring 20’s” tunes with some routines; Michael Kohler presenting a piano solo; Eileen Martin will offer several vocal se- lections accompanied by Mrs. Carmne Richards; Steve Smith and Sandy Heisey, a vocal duet, accompanied by Greg Bachman; Bill Hayman, accompanying himself on the guitar; vocal duet by Dave and Lucy Brubaker, accompanied by Steve Gring; Mrs, Donald Betty, vocalist; the Rhythm Singers, a group DID YOU HEAR... The MC for the evenings program will be Ray Holl- inger; his wife Barbara, will serve as card girl. They will present a song and dance routine, and Ray will offer a vocal solo. Joy Fire Co. gets ambulance At the monthly meeting of Friendship Fire Co. No. 1, held Thursday, Feb. 6th, the company voted to ap- prove the purchase of a new ambulance as proposed by the company’s Ambulance Committee. The new ambulance will be manufactured by the Hor- ton Co. of Columbus, Ohio. The vehicle will be of modu- lar construction mounted on a new Chevrolet C-30 chassis, designed for emer- gency use. The modular construction enables more efficient use of passenger space and equipment stor- age. Delivery is scheduled for mid May, 1975. Total cost of the vehicle is approximately $24,300. The Ambulance Committee of Friendship No. 1 will have $15,000 down pay- ment. Any donations to- ward the 8,500 due on the new vehicle would be wel- comed. Contributions can be mailed to Friendship Fire Co. No. 1, New Am- bulance Fund, 9 N. Market Street, Mount Joy. The Ambulance Commit- tee, like the fire company isa VOLUNTEER ORGAN- IZATION. In addition, the company will institute a new audible public siren. Due to auto- matic Plectron Home Dis- . patching, the present siren system with manual code is ineffective. The new system will be an up/down (pulsating) siren - 2% minute total at 8 se- cond intervals. The siren will continue even after re- sponse of equipment for 2% to 3 minutes.
