    St. Mark's Sets
Advent Workshop
One of the most popular
family events each year at
St. Mark’s United Methodist
Church, is the Advent
Workshop. This year it will
be held on Sunday, Dec. 1,
immediately after the
Morning Worship Service.
There will be a sack lunch
after which a period of craft
and handiwork has been
scheduled. Both family and
individual projects will be
undertaken, all in
preparation for the ob-
servance of Advent and
Christmas in the home.
Games for all ages will be
played and suitable prizes
awarded. Concluding the
event this year will be an
Advent-Walk-Through.
Tableaus representing
scenes of Christmas events
will be on view at different
places in the Church. Youth
of the congregation will
serve as the various
characters. The walk will
end in the sanctuary where
carol-singing and a brief
devotional time will con-
clude the ;

Episcopal Church, on

The service will be that of
a Family Eucharist and
Sermon. The Rev. Donald M.
Whitesel will be the
celebrant and preacher. Dr.
David E. Schlosser,
organist, and the junior and
senior choirs will assist in
the service.
Nursery service will be
provided.
The church altar and
windows will be decorated
by individuals and the Girl
Scouts in a Thanksgiving
theme. An invitation is ex-
tended to the public.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 334,
ENACTED JUNE 8, 1970, AS AMENDED PROVIDING A
NEW STOP INTERSECTION AND PROHIBITING
PARKING IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS WITHIN THE
BOROUGH OF MOUNT JOY
BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by Borough Council of
the Borough of Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania,
and it is hereby ordained and enacted as follows:
Section 1. Article II, Section 6 of Ordinance No. 334, enacted
June 8, 1970, as amended, is hereby amended by adding the
following stop intersection:
Stop Street Through Street Direction of Travel
79. Mount Joy Street Jacob Street Eastbound
Section 2. Article III, Section 4 of Ordinance No. 334,
enacted June 8, 1970, as amended, is hereby amended by
adding the following locations where parking shall be
prohibited at all times:
Street Side Between
11. West Main Street South 50 feet East and West of
Orange Street
12. Mount Joy Street South From North Jacob
Street to Fire Hydrant
13. Mount Joy Street North North Jacob Street West
for 25 feet
14. North Jacob Street East From Mount Joy Street
: South for 50 feet
15. North Jacob Street East From the South side of
Mount Joy Street North-
ward for 30 feet
16. North Jacob Street West From Mount Joy Street
to Main Street
Section 3. In all other respects Ordinance No. 334 enacted
June 8, 1970, as amended, shall remain the same.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become
effective on December 1st, 1974.

ORDINANCE NO. 368
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 303 OF THE
MOUNT JOY SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS ENACTED
BY ORDINANCE ON MAY 6, 1968, PROVIDING FOR THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A FEE FOR SUBMISSION OF
PRELIMINARY PLANS.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Borough
Council of the Borough of Mount Joy, Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania, and it is hereby ordained and enacted as
follows:
Section 1. Subparagraph A. under Section 303 of the Mount
Joy Borough Subdivision Regulations, enacted by Ordinance
on May 6, 1968, be and it is hereby amended to read as
follows:
“Section 303. - Preliminary Plan:
A. Three copies of the Preliminary Plan, three copies of the
application for approval on the form attached hereto as
Exhibit “1”, along with a filing fee as established by
resolution by Borough Council, and all other items listed
under ‘Plan Requirements’ shall be submitted to the
Commission at least seven (7) days prior to a regularly-
scheduled meeting of the Commission. The Commission shall
take no action with respect to said Preliminary Plan until the
filing fee prescribed by Borough Council shall have been
paid.”
Section 2. In all other respects, the Mount Joy Borough
Subdivision Regulations enacted by Ordinance on May 6,
1968, shall remain the same.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective on
January 1, 1975.

the Borough of Mount Joy, this 11th day of November, 1974.

Joycee-ettes Set
Dates for Bazaar
“Christmas Corners’, a
bazaar sponsored by the
Mount Joy Joycee-ettes, will
be held on Friday, Dec. 6
from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. in
St.Mark’s Church basement.
Santa Claus will be on hand
at 6 p.m. to greet youngsters
and the Jaycees will provide
photos with Santa for those
who desire them.
The Joycee-ettes have
been busy preparing for the
event. There will be plaques,
stocking stuffers, tree or-
naments, wreath and
