The basic menu was 7 sweets and 7 sours plus turkey pot pie, Donegal meat balls, homemade bread, ham and corn. A background of organ music was provided by Don and Terri Bradfield. Speakers for the evening were the senior members of the wrestling team. Each boy gave a short talk on the values of wrestling and the benefits derived from the sport of wrestling. These young men were in agreement that wrestling helped to develop self- respect, self-discipline, confidence in one’s ability to be successful and the ability to meet and associate suc- cessfully with other young people through the state. The audience was pleased with the different presen- tations and felt that it meant more to them to hear their own sons and teammates speak than to hear an in- dividual not familiar with Donegal. The evening was con- cluded with the recitation of the Lord’s Prayer. Farming is becoming more specialized - and a real challenge for the commercial farmer to keep informed and to make the right decisions. In the case of fertilizers at this time, relaizing the scarcity of some items, it will be best if the nitrogen is put where it will do the most good: such as, on corn or tobacco. The forage crops such as alfalfa or any of the legume mix- tures might do almost as good with only phosphorus- potash fetilizers. DISCOUNT READING $2.00 WITH AD MRS.
