Market St., Marietta, died Monday, Jan. 21, at 8:25 a.m. at St. Joseph hospital after a long illness. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of Mildred Saunders Miller, Marietta, and the late Ray Miller. She was the wife of Robert E. Roberts. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Bradley E. Roberts, at home; a sister, Patricia, wife of George D. Bish, Columbia, and a brother, Lee E. Miller, Marietta. Services were conducted from the Smedley funeral home in Marietta Thursday, Jan. 24, and burial was made in the Marietta cemetery. ELMER I. DEGLER Elmer I. Degler, 68, Mount Joy, R2, died unexpectedly in his home Saturday ev- ening, Jan. 26. He had been under the care of a physician for a heart condition. Born in Robesonia, he was the son of the late Harry and Emma Shower Degler. For eight years, he was employed in the auto shop at Two Guys Department store. He is survived by his widow, Margaret Lane Degler; a son, Stanely Degler, Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Jean, wife of Richard Nagle, Hamburg R1; six grandchildren; and a stepson, Robert Wheeler, Bethlehem. From Mrs. R.D. Buck- walter of Lititz, the shares are of the Philadelphia Life Insurance company. As of last week, bid quotations on the shares were $17.75 each. Mrs. Buckwalter, who has made other gifts to the library, indicated in her letter accompanying the certificate that the current gift may be used for new books or in any other way it is needed. Ground Broken By P.P. & L. For Substation on Road 230 Ground has been broken at the east edge of Mount Joy for a new P.P&L. sub- station. Located along the south side of Road 230, east of the Little Chiques creek bridge, the site is between the high- way and the Penn Central railroad. High-voltage power will enter the site along a new line which follows the railroad form the east. Lowered voltage will be fed into the local system on existing lines along Road 230. The new installation, known as a 138,000 KW station, will be very similar to the P.P.& L. substation located just south of Donegal high school along Road 141. Heisey Elected At PSU Gary C. Heisey of Maytown is serving as president of the Student Council of the College of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at the Pennsylvania State university. A senior majoring in recreation and parks, Heisey also is a member of the Recreation and Parks Society at the university. He is the son of Charles C. Heisey, 107 E. High St. Maytown. The King and Queen will be crowned at ceremonies at 10:30 on Feb. 16 at St. Marks United Methodist church.
