Revell, 1971 Rex Humbard’s ‘‘Miracles in My Life’ is a success story---a story of success in gaining fame as America’s top television evangelist, and a story of success of one man’s search to find the glory of God. Many millions of people view Rex Humbard each week as he broadcasts services from his huge, interdenominational church, the Cathedral of Tomorrow in Cuyahoga Fall, Ohio. “Miracles in My Life” is the story behind this dynamic gospel preacher. Many times throughout the book, the author cites instances where God has intervened in his life to perform an undeniable miracle both in his personal life and in his career. The book is dedicated to the author's wife, Maude Aimee. Throughout the book, his devotion to her is apparent. Seemingly, Maude Aimee’s devotion to God is just as deep and unfailing as her husband’s. She has been by his side from the very beginning of his career, sharing in his ministry of music, giving ‘moral’ support, and bearing and caring for his four children! Both Rex and Maude Aimee come from the homes of dedicated Christian people. Rex was reared by parents who both were itinerant gospel preachers. He recounts memories of his unique childhood. One vivid memory involves sleeping on a pallet behind the pulpit on a wooden stage during evangelistic services! He remembers the very night that he went to the altar in a conversion experience. It was only then that he was given the talent and ability to enjoy the musical ministry that he is so noted for.’ To this reader it would seem that a good way to see the Name Karen Saylor Semi-Finalist For National Merit Scholarship For the fifth straight year, Donegal high school has a National Merit Scholarship semi- finalist. Karen's selection was based on high scores in the Preliminary Scholarship Aptitude Test and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, taken a year ago. In the past five years, there have been seven Donegal semi- finalists. Semi-finalists constitute about one-half of one per cent of the graduating high school seniors in the country. They even spent many weeks in Alaska doing the Lord’s work! However, the author makes clear that one of the more dramatic miracles in his life was when God made it obvious to him that he should establish a permanent ministry. The story behind the scenes involving the construction of the Cathedral of Tomorrow is fascinating and inspiring. The author writes of the many frustrations and roadblocks he encountered on this journey of faith. Overcoming seemingly endless obstacles, the cathedral was built and dedicated in 1958 at a cost of $2,100,000 and is visited today and admired by any thousands of people from all over CENTRAL HOTEL 102 North Market Street MOUNT JOY, PENNA.
