Warner, Pastor BY GRACE HENDERSON PHONE 426-3303 Mr. and Mrs. George Waller returned July 16, from an eight day vacation in Hawaii. They flew on a DC 10 non stop flight in eight hours from Hawaii to Middletown. There were 345 passengers and their luggage, 10 tons of pineapples and the crew on the plane. Mr. and Mrs. John Buller left on July 21 for a vacation in Hawaii. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barr and children are vacationing in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mayers left last Monday for California where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Mayer. Tom Hasn't seen his brother for 32 years. Mr. and Mrs. William Smith and Mr. and Mrs. George Engle called on Mr. and Mrs. Claude Henderson at the Landisville Camp meeting Grounds last Wednesday evening. Miss Helen Hollenbaugh and Mrs. May Hicks returned last Thursday from a tour of the New England States and Canada. The Golden Age Club met at the Dillinger Cottage at Landisville Campmeeting Grounds last Tuesday. Thirty-two members and guests attended. The next meeting will be a picnic at the Sico Park. Mrs. Howard Charles, Marietta, R1 is a patient in the Columbia Hsopital. Mrs. Mable Haverstick returned from the hosptal and is convalescing at her home. Paul Sload, Lititz, is a patient in the General Hospital. Mrs. Jack Frank fell and broke her left arm last Thursday. The Fire Co. answered three calls last week. Miss Anna Culp and Miss * Armstrong, called on Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Huntzinger last Monday. Duane Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Smith of Warner Robbins, Ga., was one of a group of Exchange Students who spent two weeks in Saltillo, Mexico. The family with whom he stayed could speak very little English. He said the people were very friendly. He is president of the State High School Science Club. He also attended a Debating Club Seminar at the University of Ga., for one week. The officers of the Science Club also toured Ga. Duane is 15 years-old and will be a Junior at Warner Robins High School this year. Dennis Dick son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Dick, Millersville, is a member of the Soccer All Star Team East. This team left on Monday for a three weeks’ tour of Europe. Dennis is a 1973 graduate of Penn Manor High School and received a Scholarship to attend Davis and Elkins College at Elkins, W. Va. He also had the honor of being chosen alternate to the Air Force Academy. Dennis is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Waller. Mrs. Alfred Hatfield and Mrs. Helen Wilson, Coatesville, called on Miss Elizabeth Fletcher last Saturday. Mr. Irvin Johnstin, Royersford, visited the Harold Engle’s last Sunday. Debbie Arnold celebrated her birthday anniversary last Sun- day. Mrs. Minerva Houseal is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital - Room 555. Dr. and Mrs. F. Ferguson and children are visiting in Syracuse, N.Y. + Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Watts have recently moved from Columbia to the Paul Beshler Apt. on S. Trustees Meeting Mount Gretna Bible Conference Opens Two-Week Session The annual Bible Conference of the Mount Gretna Campmeeting Association of the United Methodist Church will open on Sunday, July 29. Morning Bible Studies during the weekdays will be conducted by Dr. J.R. MacDonald (the first week) and Dr. Francis Williamson (the second week). These are held at 10 A.M. Evening services features a number of outstanding pulpiteers. Dr. James Singer of Baltimore (formerly of Manheim) will preach from Sunday to Friday of the first week. Rodney Shearer, formerly assistant pastor at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Elizabethtown, Penna. These services are open to the public and are always well- attended by area church mem- bers of a _ variety of denominations. LEE od ® Deaths GRACEE. GOOD Funeral services for Grace E. Good, 55, who died Tuesday, July 17, at Osteopathic hospital, were held Friday, July 20, from the Milton Grove United Methodist church. Burial was made in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery. She had had a long illness. The wife of Clayton B. Good, she was born in Lebanon County, the daughter of Mrs. Ann Eshleman Wolgemuth Mayer, Elizabethtown R3, and the late Mennon G. Wolgemuth. Mrs. Good was a member of Milton Grove United Methodist Church and was employed at the Bodenstein Garment Co., Elizabethtown. In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Lois, wife of Eugene S. Finley, Mount Joy R2; three sons, Kenneth W. Good, Mount Joy, Frederick W. Good, Mount Joy R2, and Edwin W. Good, at home; and eight grand-children. CAROL E. RODGERS "Funeral services for Carol E. Rodgers, age two, daughter of Albert K. and Madeline Bowers Rodgers, 1522 Millersville Pike, were held Monday afternoon, July 23, from the Heilig funeral home. Burial was made in the Millersville Mennonite cemetery. Carol Elaine died Thursday, July 19, at St. Joseph's hospital after a five-weeks illness. She was a member of the Cardel Roll at Chiques United Methodist church.
