Page 6 - Mount Joy Bulletin June 13, 1973 Christine Spicker Sets New Instrumental Music Record During the last semester of the 1972-73 school year, a sixth grade Grandview student established another music record. For the third consecutive time, Christine Spickler has made the 400 Club, amassing over twice as many points as anyone ever did since the establishment of the honor clubs The honor clubs were started several years ago with the formation of the 100 Club. In a short while it became necessary to form a 200 Club, then a 300 Club, and now the 400 Club. A trophy is presented in each of the four elementary schools of the district to that sixth grade student who scores the most points through grades four, five, and six. Christine was awarded this trophy at the Grandview school with an all-time high of 1857 points. Cindy Bailey received the trophy at the Boy and Girl of Month TRUDY SMITH Trudy Smith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Smith, of 306 Essex Street, Marietta. She is a senior in the business course at Donegal high school. Her high school activities in- clude: Future Business Leaders Club, 10-11-12; Class Play Prompter, "11-12; Band Majorette, 9-10-11-12; Student Council, 9-11; Senior Class Executive Committee, 12; Yearbook Staff, 12, and National Honor Society, 11-12. She is a member of Zion Lutheran church, where she serves as treasurer of the Youth Group and sings in the choir. She presently is working part- time at Donegal Mutual Insurance company as part of the cooperative work-study program. She will continue this work on a full time basis following graduation from Donegal high school. STEVE STUDHOLM Steve Studholm is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac M. Studholm, 88 Bridge Street, Marietta. He is a senior in the college preparatory course at Donegal high school. His high school activities in- clude: Baseball, 9-10-11-12; Basketball, 11-12; Football, 9-10- 11-12; Dramatics Club Play, 10; Jr. Class Play, 11; Science Fair Winer, 12; Bridge Club, 12, and National Spanish Honor Society, 12. Steve is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He also has participated in the Thirteenth World Jamboree in Japan. Steve will enter Lock Haven State college in the fall. Alligators have between 70 and 80 teeth. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Seiler school with 767 points. At the Maytown schools, the recipient was Monika Nissley with 753 points. Sue May was awarded the trophy at the Riverview school with 645 points.
