Pastor Paul Marsteller spent the Thanksgiving holi- days at his home in Alexan- dria, Pa. Your correspondent and friend were dinner guests at Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ginders on Thanksgiving Day. The Rev. and Mrs. Edward Buller, Manuet, N. Y. were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Buller during the Thanksgiv- ing holidays. Mrs. Hiram Mayers is a pa- tient in St. Joseph's hospital. Harold Endslow was taken to the General hospital last Saturday morning. He is in Intensive Care suffering from a coronary. Mrs. Joseph Huntzinger fell last week and injured her knee. Mrs. Frank Singer is con- valescing at her home after being hospitalized Ernest Wallander, Sr. has returned from the hospital and is convalescing at home, Mrs. Elsie Sweitzer has been removed from the hosp- ital to Hamilton Arms Nurs- ing home. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Engle entertained the Nentwigs and the Meades Thanksgiving Day. Assigned to Lowry Airman Louis L. Toth, Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis L. Toth of Mount Joy R2, has been assigned to Lowry AFB Colorado, after completing Air Force basic training. During his six weeks at the Air Force mission, he was trained in organization and customs and received special instruction in human relations. The airman has been assign- ed to the Technical Training Center at Lowry for specializ- ed training in the supply field. Airman Toth is a 71 gradu- ate of Donegal high school. LORD'S SUPPER The Sacrament of the Lard’s Supper will be celebrated on the Fist Sunday in Advent, at Gossbrenner United Metho dist church at 9:30 am. and 4:30 p.m, The morning ser- vice also will include the tra ditional lighting of the Advent Wreath. An Advent Family Night will be held at 5 o'clock with a covered dish supper. This annual Christmas workshop will feature the making of a Christmas banner by each fa- mily under the direction of Mrs. Miles Robinson, Jr. Spec- ial craft ideas will be available for younger children. ANNUAL CHURCH CONFERENCE The annual church confer- ence of St. Mark’s United Methodist Congregation will take place Sunday, Dec. 3. During the morning worship hour at 10:15 o'clock, the pas- tor and several laymen will give the challenge of 1973. Then the congregation will as- semble for dinner in Fellow- ship hall at 11:30. A full course meal will be served and nursery services provid- ed. Following the meal, the new members received during ’'72 will be honored. Church busi- ness, including elections, bud- get adoption and trustee re- port, will then be the order of the afternoon. The program is scheduled to conclude by 2:00 p.m. 50th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Gott- shall, 18 North Bank street, Marietta, were honored at a 50th wedding anniversary par- ty given by their son, Paul, at the Marietta Community House. The Gottshalls were mar- ried Nov. 30, 1922, in the home of Mrs. Gottshall’s grandmother, the late Mrs. Elizabeth Good, Mount Joy. Mrs. Gottshall is the daugh- ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Phillip G'bbons, She has done babysitting over the years for a total of 85 children, some- times caring for as many as ten at a time. Her susband retired this year from Burns Detective Agency, after serving as a guard for the Air Force Depot in Marietta. The Gottshalls are active members of the Assembly of God Church, Marietta, where Mrs. Gottshall is organist and pianist.
