Booth, School Lane, were honored by their children with a drop-in party Sunday afternoon, Aug. 16, at Saint Mark's United Methodist Church. The occasion was the celebration of their fiftieth wedding anni- versary. Approximately 250 of their friends and relatives from this and surrounding areas attended. Mr. and Mrs. Booth were married August 17, 1920, in Mountville by the Rev. D. E. Long, pastor of the Mount- ville United Brethren church, They have been proprietors for 48 years of Booth’s Dept. store on east Main street in Mount Joy. Women of St. Mark's caurch assisted with the serving of refreshments at the drop-in. Joy Forest Fire Crew will sponsor a chicken barbecue at Rheems fire hall from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the For- est Fire Crew.
