Pennell, 56, hus- band of Dorothy Xensinger Pennell, 213 E. Ross Street, Lancaster, died Feb. 15, at 11 a.m, Thursday at the Lancas- ter General hospital after an illness of eight months. Born in Mount Joy, he was a son of the late Oscar S. and Effie Anna Conrad Pennell. He was employed by . Valley Frocks, Inc., and before that by Lebzelter’s and the Gener- al Tire Company. Pennell was a member of the Church of God, Lancaster the Greater Beneficial Union, and American Legion Post 34.. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his wife, he Lancaster; and Robert W., at home; eleven grandchildren; and the following sisters and brothers: Clara, wife of Earl Gerhart; Elmer; Lloyd A; Ruth, wife of Louis Baker, all of Lancaster; and Verna, wife of George Kohler, and Clyde, both of San Bernadin- no, Calif, Funeral rites were held from the Fred Groff funeral home, Lancaster, Sunday af- ternoon, Feb, 18, and burial was made in Greenwood cem- etery.
