The Proposal must cover
ell labor, equipment, materi-
als and all other costs inci-
dental to the work. The right

all Pronosals and to re-adver-
tise and award the Contract
in the regular manner, or to
waive any informality in the
Proposals received and to ac-
cept anv Proposal deemed to
be most favorable to the in-
terests of the Mt. Joy Bor-
ouch Authority.
Bids will be taken under
advisement and the award of
a Contract, if awarded, will
be made within sixty (60)
days after the date of open-
ing the hids.
Each Proposal must be ac-
comnanied bv a certified
check or bid bond in an am-
ount not less than ten (10)
per cent nf the bid total. pav-
able to Mt. Jov Borough Anu-
thoritv. in accordance with
provisions of the Contract
Dociiments. The denosits of
bidders other than the one to
whom the Contraet is award-
ed will be returned immedi-
atelv after execution of the
Contract. The successful bid-
der will be required to exe-
cute a contract and furnich
bonds and insurance within
ten (10) davs from the date
the notice of award is deliv-
ered or mailed to him. Unnn
annroval of the bonds and in-
surance and execution of the

Contract the deposit of the
successful bidder will be re-
turned. The amount of securi-
ty required for the faithful
performance of the work will
be one hundred (100) percent
of the estimated cost of the
work according to the con-
tract price.

Special Guest at Maytown
The Arnold Finks had a
very special guest last Thurs-
day afternoon. He was S/Sgt.
Larry S. Huyett, who captain-
ed the rescue crew that
rescued Astronauts Neil
Armstrong and David Scott
after they were f orced to
land their space craft, Gemi-
ni 8 .Sgt, Huyett is a nine-
year veteran of the Air Force
and returned to United States
March 23. He is 29 years old
and a native of Manchester,
York Co. He has appeared on
the Ed Sullivan show and
many other radio and Tele-
vision programs. He has ac-
quired two distinguished fly-
ing cross medals and several
other medals while on his two
year tour of duty in Viet Nam
Sgt. Huyett wears the ‘“Mar-
oon Beret” of the Pararescue
and Recovery Squadron. This
squadron was first formed in
1947 and there are only 170
members throughout the
world. Their motto is “These
Things We Do That Others
May Live.” He was on leave
but was called back to Okin-
awa. Sgt. Joseph Middendorf
of the Lancaster Recruiting
Office of the Air Force also

S. N. has returned to the
Amphibious Base at Little
Creek, Va. aboard the tank
landing ship USS Waldo
County after spending seven
weeks at sea,
Sunday a week ago, Mrs.
Clara Forrey was feted with
a birthday dinner at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Lafay-
ette Kurtz and Mrs. Hinkle,
Mrs. Mabel Johnstin, Mrs.
Mabel Haverstick and Miss
Helen Sload attended the
Easter Cantata last Sunday
evening at the Rohrerstown

Mrs. Mabel Haverstick re-
turned home last Saturday
from a visit with Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Smith at Mec-
Alisterville.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fry-
berger, Lititz, visited Mr.
and Mrs. Ray Fryberger last
Sunday.
Mrs, Florence Barnhart,
Mrs. Lllian Engle and Mrs.
Mary Wetzel spent last Wed-
nesday in York.
Mrs. Ada Frank is conval-
escing at her home.

The annual Easter Egg
Hunt sponsored by the Uni-
ted Church of Christ Sunday
School was held Saturday at
the Legion grounds. Eighteen
dozens of eggs were hidden.
St. John’s Lutheran Church
School Easter Egg Hunt was
held on Zinn's lawn.
Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Ken-
dig celebrated their wedding
anniversary last week.
Mr. and Mrs, Dale Arnold
celebrated their 19th wed-
ding anniversary last Sunday
Mrs. Mildred Wolfe cele-
brated her birthday anniver-
sary on Sunday. Her three
children and their families
dropped in to help her cele-
brate.
A card party will be held
at the Legion Home Friday
evening at 8 o'clock. It is
sponsored by the Civic Assoc-
iation.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Low-
ry and son Joel, Pittsburgh
and Miss Jane Fryberger, of
Chambersburg, spent the Eas-
ter holidays with the Ray
Frybergers and Miss Anna
Albright.
Miss Rhoda Kauffman ar-
rived safely at her destina-
tion. When she reached Dacca
the temperature was 100 de-
grees. She then had several
more hundred miles to trav-
el by train.

ing will be held and at 8 p.
m. the Shade Tree chairman
Kenneth Barnhart will pre-
sent a lecture with slides on
the appreciation and care of
shade trees. This program has
been arranged by Ivan Hess
of P.P.&L. This program
should be of special interest
to all property owners. The
public is invited.
The annual Americanism
meeting of the American Le-
gion Auxiliary will be held
on Monday evening, April 18
at the American Legion
Home. Jack W. W. Loose
will be the speaker. Vocal
and instrumental groups from
Donegal high school will ren-
der several selections. The lo-
cal winners of the Essay con-
test will read their essays.
The junior high winner is
Shirley Hollinger and the
senior high winner is Eliza-
beth O'Connor, Cindy Do-
lan received honorable
mention in junior high and
Karen Bricker and Kathleen
Zimmerman in senior high. A
social hour will follow the
meeting. The public is in-
vited to attend this meeting.
Mrs. Anna Haines is the Am-
ericanism chairman,
Miss Adele Senft, Oxford,
and Mrs. Clayton Rathfor, of
Columbia, called on Miss
Helen Sload and Mrs. Mild-
red Wolfe last Friday. Mr.
and Mrs. Floyd Rhine and
Mr. and Mrs, Kermit Leh-
man, Schuylkill Haven called
on Mrs. Wolfe on Sunday.
Mrs. Wolfe is spending this
week at St. David’s visiting
