Huyett, who captain- ed the rescue crew that rescued Astronauts Neil Armstrong and David Scott after they were f orced to land their space craft, Gemi- ni 8 .Sgt, Huyett is a nine- year veteran of the Air Force and returned to United States March 23. He is 29 years old and a native of Manchester, York Co. He has appeared on the Ed Sullivan show and many other radio and Tele- vision programs. He has ac- quired two distinguished fly- ing cross medals and several other medals while on his two year tour of duty in Viet Nam Sgt. Huyett wears the ‘“Mar- oon Beret” of the Pararescue and Recovery Squadron. This squadron was first formed in 1947 and there are only 170 members throughout the world. Their motto is “These Things We Do That Others May Live.” He was on leave but was called back to Okin- awa. Sgt. N. has returned to the Amphibious Base at Little Creek, Va. aboard the tank landing ship USS Waldo County after spending seven weeks at sea, Sunday a week ago, Mrs. Clara Forrey was feted with a birthday dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lafay- ette Kurtz and Mrs. Hinkle, Mrs. Mabel Johnstin, Mrs. Mabel Haverstick and Miss Helen Sload attended the Easter Cantata last Sunday evening at the Rohrerstown 1.
