Visitors are welcome, and it isn’t far from Route 230 when you turn off the high- way on the little road that winds along the creek just east of Mount Joy. % * * Mary Grace Martin, who lives at the corner of Done- gal Springs Road and South Market Ave., brought an in- teresting picture to the Bulle- tin office this week. it showed a train coming alongside the station at Eliz- abethtown, just after the turn of the century, bearing a replica of the world-famous Liberty Bell. Many people in the quaint dress of the day, were standing around to watch it pass. * * * We heard our first lawn mower of the season Tuesday morning as we made our cus- tomary walk to the office. It sounded like a real harbing- er of spring, although we must admit that we could hardly tell which half of the lawn had been mowed! Have you seen the ‘Easter Egg Trees” in Mount Joy? There may be others, but the two of which we know are at the Clint Eby home on North Barbara street, and the John Millers’ home on Delta street It is a gay sight, to see the little trees hanging full of brightly-colored eggs in pas- tel shades of yellow, blue, pink, lavender and green! ® ¥ * A nice letter came to us this week from Mrs. William Wyman, formerly of Mount Joy, who now lives in Miami, Fla. We share it with you: “Dear Editor's Wife, For many years I have been re- ceiving the Bulletin and eag- 2-3¢ : erly look forward to it each week, I had occasion to visit my two sisters, Misses Mary and Phoebe Sentz over the Christmas holidays. It is a delight to visit that store for . . . they sell that good old-fashioned bologna which you can get nowhere but in Lancaster County. “I especially enjoy your column, and save all the Bul- letins for my daughter to read ‘Of This and That’. 1 can almost see the lovely countryside when you give such vivid descriptions of [your trips with your family.” ® List Personnel (From page 1) ementary principal in the Eli- zabethtown Area schools.
