PAGE EIGHT THE BULLETIN, MOUNT JOY, PA. Visits With Mrs. Stengel. While visiting the New York World's Fair last Satur- day, David Greer being an avid baseball fan, decided he had enough of the fair and took off for the Mets stadium. While waiting in line to buy his ticket, a policeman tapped him on the shoulder and asked him if he was a- lone. When David answered that he was, the cop said, “Here's a ticket to the game. David was not only happy to get this “break” but surpris ed to discover that it entitled him to a seat in the box with Mrs. Casey Stengel and friends. He soon became ac- quainted with Mrs. Stengel and was introduced to many baseball celebrities. He could stay only long enough to see the first half of the 6th inning as he had to leave to meet the bus. N-S Annexation Papers Drawn Although it may not be presented at the next meet: ing of the Mount Joy Bor- ough Council, formal petition by National - Standard com- pany to annex its holdings to the Borough have been pre- pared. Council will hold its Sep- tember meeting on Monday, the 13th, but that may be a few days too soon to place the matter in the official hop- per. Several weeks ago Nation- al-Standard’s officers in Niles, Michigan, voted favorably to ask for annexation of its fine, new facility located at the eastern edge of the borough. Preparation of a petition was placed in the hands of a Lancaster attorney, who last week completed the legal de- tails. Necessary papers were mailed to the company head- quarters for signatures. However, because of the holiday this week and neces- sary elapse of time, it ap- peared questionable whether or not the petition could be ready for presentation on Monday night. National-Standard owns a sizable tract of land which lies immediately adjacent to the eastern borough line (east of Haines service station.) ® Charge 68 (From page 1) some of the newer and better paved streets Manheim street, Angle street, Donegal g |said that equipment and the | | Fire Hall on Saturday, Sept.
