Fire Call
The Florin Fire Company
was called to extinguish a fire
in the partition separating the
double-house in Florin in which
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Brooks
and Thelma Brooks live. Al-
though Mr. Brooks smelled
smoke Sunday, he did not dis-
cover the source until Monday
morning at 6:30 a. m.
The fire had been smoltering
all night luckily without any
air between the two walls. A
bucket brigade helped put out
the fire until the company ar-
rived. the fire may have been
caused by faulty connections in
a fireplace recently installed in
the side occupied by Victor
Brooks. Brady Hess, fire chief,
was in charge.
