Company Answers Fire Call The Florin Fire Company was called to extinguish a fire in the partition separating the double-house in Florin in which Mr. and Mrs. Victor Brooks and Thelma Brooks live. Al- though Mr. Brooks smelled smoke Sunday, he did not dis- cover the source until Monday morning at 6:30 a. m. The fire had been smoltering all night luckily without any air between the two walls. A bucket brigade helped put out the fire until the company ar- rived. the fire may have been caused by faulty connections in a fireplace recently installed in the side occupied by Victor Brooks.
