Is there a shortage of rear-view
mirrors in this country? Or is it
that most women just check on
their front-view and never pay any
attention to the rear? Anyway,

they do not have the male appeal of

legends has it that some years
ago a Giant third baseman made 6
errors on one play. With the bases
full he muffed a hit, overthrew first,
dropped the return throw, threw
wild at home, fumbled the catcher’s

to know, here it is.
A furlong means a “furrow” 220

out stopping to rest. - ~ - Interest-

Have you heard the story about
the WPA worker whose burning
desire in life was a steady job?
Well, you'll just have to read it
again, I need it to fill the column.
This WPA worker finally died—
and told St. Peter the only thing
he wanted was a job that would
last forever.
St. Peter gave him a teaspoon
and told him to return to earth
and shovel the Appalanchian
Mountains onto the Rocky Moun-
tains one spoonful at a time. But in
twenty million years the WPA re-
tainer was back to report the job
So St. Peter gave him a demi-
tasse cup and told him to take all
