Appended is what the town plan-

1. Acquire or make and supply
the following base maps of the
Borough.
a. An aerial-mossaic map of the
Borough, and immediately adjoin-
ing area, at a scale of 1 inch equals
300 feet. ;
b. A linc map at the same scale
showing all streets, railroads, school
grounds end other public proper-
ties, and streams and other major
existing features or facilities.
2. Compile and tabulate or map
the following data for use in mak-
ing the planning studies and pre-
paring the zoning ordinance and
map:
a. Populaton growth statistics
for Mt. Joy and neighboring muni-
cipalities, over a period of several
decades; same for school population
to whatever extent available.
b. Right-of-way and improve-
ment widths of all streets.
c. Boundaries and area of all
school and other public properties.
d. Existing use ofall land and
buildings in the Borough.
e. Financial statistics including;
amounts and trends of total assessed
valuations over period of years
past; present tax rate and trends in
tax rate; present Borough indebt-
edness and rends in indebtedness.
f. Extent of sewer and water
service, and general adequacy.
g. Capacity and present occu-
peacy of all schools.
h. Such other similar data as
may be found necessary or useful
as the work proceeds.
3. Upon basis of above informa-
tion, field observations, and dis-
cussions with the Borough Plan-
ning Commission, prepare a gen-
eral development plan for the Bor-
ough and immediately adjoining
territory, showing present and pro-

4. With benefit of above infor-
mation and studies, prepire a
zoning ordinance an d map.
5. Prepare latting Rules and
Regulations for use of Planning
Commission in guiding and regu-
lating the subdivision cf land.
6. Prepare and deliver an illus-
trated typewritten report, in tripli-
cate, fully covering the above find.
