Activities At East Donegal High School East Donegal High School has or- ganized its clubs in which member- ship is only compulsory to the junior high students. Some of the clubs are: Hi-Y, Camera, Home Economics, Dramat- ics and Art. The Hi-Y is under the supervision of Mr, Robert L, Adams. This club’s purpose is to maintain high standards of Christian charact- er throughout the school and com- munity. The officers of this club are: George Keener, president; Lloyd Stoner, vice-president; Luke Weaver, secretary; Ray Sumpman, treasurer. Mr. Samuel F. Simmons sponsors the Camera Club whose purpose is to teach the art of developing and printing pictures. Officers of the club include: Herald Garber, presi- dent; Louisa Kopp, vice-president; Henry Haines, secretary; Jack Frank, treasurer. Forty-six junior high girls are members of the Home Economics Club under the direction of Miss Harriette Klippel. These girls learn how to be good housekeepers and the officers are: Anna Mary Hawth- orne, president; Kathryn Seifert, vice-president, Jean Hess, secretary; Betty Hawthorne, treasurer. Miss Nancy Hendrian and Miss Margaret Campbell supervise the Dramatics Club whose name ex- presses the purpose of its members. Those in charge are: Esther Kath- arin Nies, secretary. The Art Club is instructed by Miss Grace Henderson whose plan is to do pencil sketching, painting, and charcoal work. The members doing outstanding paintings are Ralph Wittle, Ruth Wilkinson, and George Reich, who is doing a paint- ing of the Madonna.
