LOCAL YOUTH INJURED
WHEN TIRE BURST
Thrown heavily to the road when
the front tire pulled off of the motor-
cycle he was riiding along the road
from Florin to Rheems an eighteen
year old youth was seriously injured
Monday evening.
David Hetrick, of this boro, a clerk
at the American Store, on East Main
street, the victim, is a patient in St.
Joseph’s hospital suffering from lacer-
ations of the face and scalp and bruises
and cuts about his shoulders and legs.
According to Hetrick he had bor-
rowed the motorcycle from Charles
Brandt, of Elizabethtown, and was re-
turning it when the accident occurred.
A leak in the tire caused it to pull off
the rim of the wheel, Hetrick said.
He was conveyed to the office of Dr.
Sylvester Ulrich, of Elizabethtown,
where he was given first aid treat-
ment before being moved to the hos-
pital in the hospital ambulance.
