D. 1, were injured when they went to see why the charge of dynamite they had placed in a well did not explode on Wednes- day. Leaning over the shaft, they were showered with a geyser of mud and stones when the explosives were discharged. Both sustained lacerations and bruises about the head and face. They were given first aid by Dr. J. A. Blasser, Elizabethtown, and removed to the General hospital for further treatment. The trio are: Nate Miller, Leon S. Fisher and a man named Sull. ivan, whose first name was not learned by Chief of Police Elmer Zerphey, who is investigating the disappearance. According to Chief Zerphey, the trio leased the diore room two months ago and started to stock: it with clothing and furnishings pur- chased on credit. The store did not appear to be doing a large busi- ness, but numerous crates and box- es were delivered and sent away from the store.
