LOCAL GROWERS WILL
ATTEND POTATO SHOW
The biggest potato event of the
vear for Pennsylvania growers will
be the holding of the Pennsylvania
Potato Exposition at State College
on August 19-22, 1929.
This exposition will include dis-
cussions of seed, fertilization, rota-
tions, and demonstrations in. spray-
ing, digging, grading, storing, and
marketing. All of the potato ma-
chinery firms will be there with the
latest and most complete lines; real
sales of potatoes will be made with
the big buyers on the ground who
will explain their preference; all
of the evenings will be taken up
with pageants and entertainments
built up on potato industry; all of
the time at the exposition will be
taken up with plenty of things of
interest to the ambitious grower.
Every potato growing county of
the state will be represented by
delegations which should total five
or six thousand persons. All grow-
ers in Lancaster County are invited
to join the Lancaster-York Auto
tour which will leave Lancaster at
7:30 A. M. on Tuesday, August 20.
One stop will be made enroute to
the college at the Richter potato
farm north of Harrisburg.
All | growers who contemplate
making this trip should make their
reservations at once, by notifying
Amos Eberly, Chairman, 642 Wool-
worth Building, Lancaster, Pa.
Otherwise they cannot be assured
of lodging accommodations at State
College. The Lancaster delegation
proper will leave Tuesday morning
and return Wednesday night, but
anyone can extend the visit longer
if he so desires.
