In making savory corn add to two cups of canned corn, two well- beaten eggs, two tablespoons chop- ped, canned pimiento, two table- spoons melted butter, three-fourths cup milk, and salt and pepper, Pour into a buttered Sore dish and cover the top with buttered crumbs mixed with an equal amount of grated cheese. Bake in a moderate oven until set and browned on top. Hot cabbage salad is prepared by slicing one-half a cabbage as for cole-slaw. Make a dressing by mix- ing two slightly beaten egg yolks, one-fourth cup cold water, one table- spoon butter, one-fourth cup hot vinegar, onc-half teaspoon salt, one- fourth teaspoon mustard and a dash of pepper; stir in the top of a double boiler until thick.
