Hoffman found the body when he
went to the corn shed to get the
young man to assist him in unload-
ing. He notified Hiram Paules,
who tenants the farm and the two
men extricated the body from the
machinery.
It is believed that Schlegelmilch
was knocked against the wheel of
the tractor while he was in the act
of backing the machine into the
corn shed, in order to attach a har-
TOW.
Schlegelmilch celebrated his 34th

birthday anniversary on Sunday.
He was born in Marietta, the son
of the late Francis X. and Anna
Schlegelmilch. He was a veteran of
the World War, a member of St.
Mary’s Catholic church, Marietta.
and of the Holy Name Society, of
Lancaster county.
Besides his mother, he is survived
by three sisters and a brother, Miss
Elizabeth, instructor in music at
Chambersburg; Miss Isabelle, at
home; Mrs. Anna Sloat, Philadel-
phia, and Claire.
