MARIETTA
Schools Here Will be Closed on
Thursday, Oct. 21
Thursday morning more than 125
men of Pioneer Fire Company, No. 1
of Marietta, under the direction of
the president, C. Penrose Hipple, left
for the big parade in Philadelphia,
accompanied by the Marietta band.
The regular meeting of the Mari-
etta School Board was held on Tues-
day evening with all the members
present, Mr. Shillow. Presi-
dent Mueller presided. Bills aggre-
gating over $300 were ordered paid.
The principal wag present and made
a report. The Board decided to close
the schools on Thursday, October 21,
at 11 a. m., when the County Sun-
day School Convention meets in
Marietta.
