The fact has been determined by the State Livestock Sanitary Board and notice is hereby given that foot and mouth disease which has been and is adjudged and proclaimed by said Board to be of a transmissible character exists in livestock through- out the State of Pennsylvania. Therefore the State Livestock Sanitary Board under authority con- ferred by law does hereby estabhish a general quarantine throughout the State of Pennsylvania, subjecting to said quarantine all cattle, sheep, other ruminants or swine. It is hereby ordered, first: No cat- tle, sheep, other ruminants or swine ghall be removed from or out of the said quarantined area. Second: No cattle, sheep, other ruminants or swine shall be moved into the said quarantined area, ex- cept on official permit and for im- mediate slaughter, Third: No public sales or exhibi- tions of cattle, sheep, other rumi- nants or swine in the said quaran- tined area are permitted. Fourth: It forbidden to drive, transport or move cattle, sheep, other ruminants or swine over or upon public roads, highways or railways in the said quarantined area, except upon specific permission in writing from an agent of the State Livestock Sanitary Board ex- pressly authorized to issue such per- mits.
